What are BPMs?

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) are basic principles and general hygiene practices in:

Handling, preparation, processing, packaging, storage, and transportation for human consumption, ensuring that products are manufactured under adequate sanitary conditions and that the risks inherent in production are minimized.

GMPs are standards that are legislated and considered mandatory in virtually every country worldwide. For the food sector in Colombia, they are found in Decree 3075 of December 1997, CHAPTER VIII Restaurants and food consumption establishments.
